As part of the South West Area Natural Sciences Collections project (SWANS) the South West Museum Development Programme (SWMDP) is working with in partnership with Bristol Museums, Galleries and Archives and partners to deliver training for the regions workforce on working with natural sciences collections.

The aim of this training is to build knowledge and confidence in the sector as well as closing skills gaps. During spring 2017 SWMDP will be delivering five in-depth sessions to support this aim. These training sessions are funded by the John Ellerman Foundation and are therefore subsidised at no cost to participants and are open to all museums and heritage organisations in the south west.
