As CDO, Helena, advises on problems, makes site visits and provides training, supporting museums with all aspects of caring for their collections. Helena can advise on finding appropriate specialist conservators, making funding applications, assessing the condition of collections, managing collections projects and writing policies.

The CDO offers a central purchasing scheme for museums in the South West that offers essential collections care and environmental monitoring kits at affordable prices. There are a number of kits available, if you would like to purchase one of these kits or find out more about how they would be useful for your museum then you can download the latest catalogue and order form or alternatively please contact the CDO.

If your museum has an immediate and urgent need for conservation equipment or environmental monitoring kit then you should contact the CDO as we may be able to provide you with loan equipment.
