Funding and Governance

The programme is hosted and delivered by Bristol Museums, Galleries and Archives. Strategic leadership for the programme is provided by the South West Museum Development Partnership which meets quarterly

The Partnership is comprised of the Arts Council Major Partner Museums in the region (Bristol Museums, Galleries and Archives, Royal Albert Memorial Museum and Plymouth City Museum and the Cornwall Museums Partnership). Local authorities in the region are represented alongside the independent museum sector and the South Western Federation of Museums & Galleries. There is also representation from Arts and Health South West and the Arts Council bridge organisation Real Ideas Organisation.

The programme is funded by Arts Council England alongside 22 local authorities across the region that co-fund the programme collectively contributing over £100,000 per annum.
